I work in the Bristol and Gloucestershire areas alongside several funeral directors, mostly at the Memorial Woodlands.

When my mum died a few years ago, I knew that I wanted the service to reflect her life, interests and beliefs; I also wanted all her grandchildren to feel at ease with what would be their first ever funeral, so I decided to conduct it myself. I then trained as a funeral celebrant, and I now very much enjoy working together with each family to give them what I wanted to give to my mum and my family – a ceremony which is meaningful and unique to them, reflecting the life and personality of their loved one.
