Valerie Taylor

Hello, my name is Valerie Taylor. I chose to complete my Funeral Celebrancy training with the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants as I have a desire to enable families to create a funeral service which both acknowledges their grief and loss whilst at the same time reflecting the life, love and laughter they have shared with their loved one.

I am able to create a Celebration of Life service whether that is a Service at the Crematorium followed by a cremation, a Service at the Crematorium followed by a burial, a graveside only service, a service at other locations followed by a crematorium or graveside committal, a scattering of ashes or an internment of ashes. Whatever style of service meets your needs or circumstances I would aim to ensure that you area able to find some comfort in the sharing of memories of your loved one and all that they meant to you.

Until recently I had worked for many years in the area of Social Care. This has required me to work with families and individuals in a sensitive, understanding and confidential way with the responsibility of gathering information in a caring but professional manner, qualities that I feel are important to role of a funeral celebrant.

I am currently involved with a well known local charity, in both a voluntary and employed capacity. In this role I work alongside volunteers, other professionals as well interacting with the general public.
