Here at The Retreat @ Shearbarn our beautiful setting makes us an idyllic and peaceful setting for any occasion, especially for Wakes when you need some privacy and space for all your family and friends at this sad yet special event.

We are located 2.4 miles from Hastings Crematorium which takes no longer than 10 minutes by car.

We are able to accommodate small intimate gatherings or large groups of up to 200 people.

We have a comfortable carpeted Venue with a fully licensed bar with a breath-taking view that looks out over the east Hill glen and out to sea.

We have an outside decking area which your guests are welcome to use.

We have the use of 2 large Televisions which we can connect to show photos if you wish.

We offer a range of buffet options, we can set up a table for unlimited tea and coffee, therefore whether you require a simple buffet or a more elaborate offering we are on hand to discuss specific requirements with you ensuring that we deliver exactly what you require.
