Hi – Thanks for visiting my profile! My name is Lou Fowkes of Kent Creative Ceremonies and I am delighted to offer creative storytelling with love, joy, care and compassion, that captivates and evokes the true meaning of life’s milestone moments.

With a background in the arts and entertainment industry, both on and off stage, I always wondered if a career as a celebrant would be an option for me. Friends and family have, over the years, said that I would be perfect. Having worked on stage as an actress and singer and off stage as a director and writer, it seemed that the skill set of meeting people, writing their stories and then conducting their ceremonies could indeed be a transferable skill! So I bit the bullet and trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and thus opened up a new chapter in my life.

As a Marriage, Family & Funeral Celebrant, I lead with my heart and walk alongside you, whatever journey you are on, to create meaningful ceremonies that put the story at the centre. Through ceremony, we create moments of peace, joy, healing and contentment and they give meaning and depth to us and have done so for many years.

So whether you’re organising your wedding and would like a ceremony that truly reflects you as a couple, celebrating your lasting love by renewing your vows, welcoming your beautiful new baby into the family or giving your loved one a fond and uplifting farewell, I am passionate about creating bespoke, authentic and heartfelt ceremonies that offer the freedom and flexibility to give unique and treasured memories for you and your family.

Based in Whitstable, Kent, I am also happy to travel around the South East and to officiate at ceremonies that respect all beliefs, and none, as well as being LGBTQ+ inclusive.
