I initially started thinking about training to be a Funeral Celebrant because, as a Counsellor, nearly every client I work with has suffered a bereavement or loss at some stage in their lives. I know from experience that we all deal with grief in our own different ways. Listening to my clients and their personal experiences of death and funerals, I began thinking that this was an area where I could, and would like to make a difference too. After the death of my friend and attending her funeral, I was inspired by her service, and the Celebrant who conducted it, and decided to train as a Celebrant myself.

I completed my funeral training in 2015 and wedding and naming training in 2017 and have now written and conducted over 200 ceremonies. I love creating something unique and personal for my families and couples; something that truly represents the person or people I am writing about.

I am a good listener and am happy to be led by you, or suggest ideas to incorporate in to your ceremony, making it completely bespoke and expressive, which is what a Celebrant led service is all about.
