Every family is different so every civil funeral is different. You want the funeral or memorial service you are planning to do justice to the life and character of the person who has died and reflect how you would like them to be remembered. This takes on more shape when we meet and start working together on the ceremony.

Every family is different. I can help with suggestions for music, readings, poetry, if you want me to and with the format and length of the ceremony. We work on it together. There may be difficult family situations to take into consideration: together, we will find the best solution.

I will guide you through this difficult time, available evenings and weekends as well as during the day, should you have any queries or concerns. Nothing is too much trouble. And when everything is over, you will feel that a life – however long, however short – has been honoured with respect, with dignity, with affection; with gratitude for the special qualities that made them who they were.

You will know you have done the very best you could for them, and for the people left behind. I will let you have a copy of the whole ceremony as a keepsake shortly afterwards. I usually work within twenty-five miles of my home in north Surrey, including London south of the Thames, and in other areas by agreement.
