Funeral Buffets & Teas

Parc Gwyn Crematorium was opened in 1968 in response to public demand. Since that date over 40,000 cremations have been carried out here. Most people in Pembrokeshire now choose to be cremated when they die.

The crematorium gardens are set in rolling Pembrokeshire countryside at the head of a lawned, tree-lined valley dotted with rockeries and ornamental trees and shrubs. There are views of the Preseli Hills, source of the stones of Stonehenge. There is a pond at the exit of the crematorium chapel containing koi carp donated by members of the public.

The grounds of the crematorium are open 365 days of the year. Access to the grounds and the Chapel of Remembrance is available from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. (From November to January the grounds and Chapel of Remembrance close at 4.00 p.m.).

The office is open Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.

Funeral arrangements, purchases of memorials and general enquiries can be made in the office between 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. (4.30 p.m. on Fridays). Viewing of inscriptions in the Book of Remembrance can also be arranged for visitors who find that the Book is not open at the page they want to view. Requests for viewing at the weekends may be arranged by appointment.

The crematorium and adjacent buildings have all been made accessible to wheelchair users. A wheelchair is available for public use. A loop system has been installed in Crematorium Chapel for the benefit of users of hearing aids.

The Chapel of Remembrance is situated at the opposite end of the crematorium building from the Main Chapel. It provides a place for visitors to display floral tributes, and to view the Book of Remembrance.
