The Hundred House

The Hundred House is the perfect and tranquil Countryside Venue to visit after the funeral of your loved one.
Here at The Hundred House we appreciate what an upsetting and difficult time this can be. A time when care is needed, both to give your loved one the correct celebration of their life, whilst also protecting yourself from the stress of organising, staffing and catering for such an event.

Our friendly and professional staff will ensure that all details are taken care of, in beautiful surroundings with tasty homemade food made by our Award Winning Chefs.

We understand that numbers for these occasions can vary so we offer two different areas.

Within the Hotel we have a private room called “The Courtroom”, which is ideal for more intimate Wakes of up to 35. There is a bar within the Hotel and we can offer also waiter service for drinks.

For larger guest numbers, between 35 -120, we have our Beautiful 17th Century Oak beamed Tithe Barn, complete with full Bar, toilets, disabled access, underfloor heating and air conditioning to make sure guests are comfortable no matter what the weather. The Barn also has thousands of twinkling fairy lights stretching from one gallery to another, making it a special and charming environment to celebrate the life of your loved one.

We have plenty of free car parking onsite and 9 bedrooms, should you or your guests be travelling from afar and wish to stay over the night before or night of the funeral. These are subject to availability, however if we are already full there are lots of other establishments within a 5-10 minute drive we can give you the details of.

We are situated in the pretty village of Norton, on the A442, half way between Telford and Bridgnorth, just 14 minutes away from Telford Crematorium and within easy & quick reach of many Churches within Telford and Bridgnorth areas.

You will find some sample menu’s within our page, however everything is made from scratch in our kitchens and we aim to be as flexible as possible! We can offer many different varieties of cuisines so if you would like to discuss a Bespoke Menu please let us know.
