Situated on the outskirts of the village of Shabbington close to Thame, Aylesbury, Oxford and the M40, The Old Fisherman is in a beautiful, picturesque and quiet location on the banks of a tributary of the river Thame. Within easy travelling distance of Aylesbury, Bicester and Oxford.

The pub has been extended and refurbished to a very high standard with low ceilings, beams and a wonderful ambience creating a relaxing and peaceful, yet interesting atmosphere in which to snack, dine or just have a drink.

With two private function rooms available, a small area as well as a large conservatory space we can cater for both small intimate gatherings and larger receptions. Whether your preference is for a simple buffet, a larger wake for all the family and friends or just somewhere private to reflect with loved ones, we pride ourselves on offering an occasion tailored to meet your needs.

Our team are on hand to serve up delicious food and make your guests as comfortable as possible. You will be able to create the perfect food package – both our set menu and buffet options provide a selection of traditional favourites and extra special dishes.

As for drinks, you and your guest will of course have access to our bar stocked with an extensive choice of wine, beer and soft drinks as well as teas and coffees. We also offer free car parking for your family and guests.
