The Queens Head Inn Littlebury

Located next to the Holy Trinity church and just two miles from the Cam Valley crematorium, the Queens Head in Littlebury, Saffron Walden, is a 15th century coaching inn with a truly great atmosphere and the ideal venue to hold a funeral reception or wake. The inn boasts a host of period features including: inglenook fire-places, old beams and one of only two full size settles in the country.

We offer a selection of wake buffet options and drinks packages to cater for all of your wake requirements and can also create specially created menus to suit your individual tastes. We also have an excellent reputation for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free catering and our bar is well stocked with a range of traditional ales and fine wines bespoke to our inn.

The inn has the benefit of having six en suite guest rooms for those travelling from afar, a large restaurant area, bar, beer garden and large car park. We have the benefit of a fully-qualified events organiser if you want extra help and advice, and have affiliations with local florists and taxi services.

We also have a sister venue called the George Inn (eight minutes away in Babraham, Cambridge), that can cater for larger wake parties should the need arise. The George Inn is a 16th century inn at Babraham that has cosy fires, a huge beer garden and ample parking . Both venues have well trained chefs and wake trained events personnel.
