Getting to the hotel is easy with two train stations and coach station within a five-minute walk. The hotel is discreetly located in a cobbled street, with Windsor Castle being a stone’s throw away. It is also within close proximity to local churches and crematoriums. Receptions, sit-down dinners and funeral teas take place in the three suites in the main house.

Sir Christopher Wren Hotel is a riverside hotel in the heart of Royal Windsor and is a warm, welcoming venue to celebrate the memory of a loved one. It’s comprised of several characterful buildings and a collection of individually styled bedrooms.

Our individually decorated suites are well lit, with flexible layout options, modern lighting and free WiFi. Your guests can also relax during this emotional time by booking into one of our 133 bedrooms at a discounted rate.

Filled with character and natural daylight, the Princess Suite, Pavilion, Sienna Room and Windsor Lounge are ideal for funeral teas, large wakes and small receptions. Our Event Planners will arrange all the room features, music and catering to create a tranquil setting for you to reflect and celebrate the life of your loved one.

Meetings & Events suites
We understand that a funeral reception provides a sense of closure whilst allowing one with an opportunity to reconnect with friends and family. Our contemporary event spaces have been designed to seamlessly adapt to the occasion.

The Princess Suite has direct access to the Thames View Terrace and has spacious, flexible rooms for guests up to 90. It features large windows and a warm décor.

The Pavilion overlooks the River Thames and seats up to 45 people for a funeral tea or a small wake. The picturesque room has a magnificent glazed dome and a contemporary chandelier that fill the space with natural light.

The Sienna Room is ideal for intimate funeral receptions and lunches for up to 12 guests. It has large windows and lots of natural light. Regardless of what suite you choose, all our event rooms are equipped with audio-visual facilities so you can share memories of your loved ones.

Windsor Lounge is one of our brand new event suites, across the cobbled street from reception. There is direct access to the outdoor courtyard which can be used for drinks receptions.
